He = Daniel? Robin? Was Robin lying? Making a joke? Misinformed?

Are the things they lost living? Inanimate objects? Tangible? Are they things it’s common to own?

Are D and R both HAs? Genders relevant? Are the professions of either pertinent here?

Did they lost two of the same things? Could they have gained what they lost? Did R lost two as a consequence of the fact that D lost one? Had D lost 2 would R have lost 3? And so on?

Did they lost 1 and 2 at the same time? D before R? Viceversa? Relevant?

Is Daniel male? Is Robin? Are either of them non-binary? Are they in a romantic relationship? Are they friends? Family? Classmates? Co-workers? Is puberty relevant? Is the living lost thing an animal? A pet? Part of a person? (Perhaps he'd lost an arm, and then lost his prosthetic arm as well, for instance?) Are body parts that are specific to the male? female? sex relevant?

Puns relevant? When saying that D lost 2, did R refer to herself? Did D knew he lost 2 before R said? Did D in fact lost 2? Did D said R that he lost one. Did R noticed it? If so by talking to him? Just looking at him? Because something happened to him? Did he lost 1 as a consequence of something that happened to him? E.g. a girl betraying him/commjnicating to him that their story is over/others?

Relevant Robin's name? (Robin = name of a bird/name of Batman's assistant/name of Robin of How I met your mother...?)

Is the verb lose here used (for one of the 2 things or for both) as losing a match? As "not finding anymore" an object? As having lost virginity? Having missed something (e.g. I lost the train)? Others?

Puns relevant? Yope - not sure I'd call it a pun but wordplay is involved When saying that D lost 2, did R refer to herself? Yes Did D knew he lost 2 before R said? No Did D in fact lost 2? Noish/Yope Did D said R that he lost one. No, he didn't say it Did R noticed it? Yes If so by talking to him? Just looking at him? Because something happened to him? Yope? Did he lost 1 as a consequence of something that happened to him? E.g. a girl betraying him/commjnicating to him that their story is over/others? No

Relevant Robin's name? No - neither Daniel nor Robin's name are relevant (Robin = name of a bird/name of Batman's assistant/name of Robin of How I met your mother...?)

Is the verb lose here used (for one of the 2 things or for both) as losing a match? As "not finding anymore" an object? As having lost virginity? Having missed something (e.g. I lost the train)? Others? One is "having something and then no longer having it"; the second is losing the opportunity to have something.

DiD R told him that he lost 2 by phone? Face to face? Relevant? Did he lost R as a consequence of having lost the first thing? Vice versa? When saying he lost R, is meant: he lost the opportunity to meet her? To join her company? To meet someone else (e.g. R would have introduced him to someone) To get a job? To
Did D lost R and: the voice? time? the way? He lost himself somewhere? Did he lose 1 of something (e.g. 1 unit of measurement: 1 gallon, 1 hour, 1 meter, 1 km, 1 pound, 1 kg,...) Cell phone? 1 phone number? 1 friend on facebook? 1 "like"? 1 digit? 1 note? 1 word? 1 letter?

Relevant when D lost the intangible object? During a performance? When declaring to R? When talking to her?

WAG --> D said he lost one hour doing something and hence being late. R replied he lost 2 hours meaning that he lost the opportunity to meet her and hence having travelled to her place in vain.

TWO HINTS:

-Daniel and Robin share a hobby.
-Daniel is sexist.

So he lost two, one of which is R right?

Hobby shared: chess (e.g. in Italian Queen is also called "Woman". So maybe D said he lost a Woman and Robin replied he lost two referring to herself) ? A sport? Arm wrestling? Tennis? Poker? Cooking? Something that involve competition? Did D think to be better over Robin because he was a male? Because he was stronger? Technology relevant?

Did D lose a match? A game? Was he playing against Robin? With Robin?

Did D lose a tool? Relevant how he lost it? Because of distraction? As a part of the hobby? Because someone hid it? Did he lose money? Patience? Keys? Cards? Wallet? Memory? Words? Numbers? (E.g. he was playing crosswords ir "find the word")? If so, was the word related to women? Sex?

So he lost two, one of which is R right? Yep

Hobby shared: chess (e.g. in Italian Queen is also called "Woman". So maybe D said he lost a Woman and Robin replied he lost two referring to herself) ? This is almost exactly right. Well done!

****SPOILER****

Daniel and Robin were playing a game of chess. Before the game, Daniel had made some sexist remarks to Robin, including that she'd have to marry him when he beat her. But during the game, Daniel blundered his queen, and Robin said that he had lost two queens - the piece, and her.
